Premier Clinic’s Dr Chen Tai Ho and paediatrician Dr Bilkis volunteered to visit a halfway home at Pandan Jaya, Kuala Lumpur to attend to their children.
30 children from broken homes visit the centre daily for free meals and tuition. Some of the kids have been abandoned by their parents who are drug addicts or jobless.
Our doctors treated the kids who have infectious skin disease such as scabies. Others have bacterial infections on the skin such as impetigo. Medications were given to treat their various ailments. Some children have to undergo further investigations such as childhood diabetes and tuberculosis.
We’ll be back to the halfway home in January 2018 to follow up on children’s progress.
