WHAT ARE BIOFIBRE HAIR IMPLANTS?

Biofibre hair implants are a minor surgical process, making use of artificial hair that is compatible with the human body. They are inserted one by one into an outlined area affected by hair loss (alopecia) or balding. The process itself is completely safe, having been subject to extensive medical and scientific studies. There is no limit on the amount of biofibre hairs that can be inserted in the scalp – this entirely depends on the patient’s particular case and condition. It is suitable for both men and women, and maintenance can be done simply by repeating small quantities of hair implants at regular intervals. This is to ensure that the thickness of your hair stay constant.

Made from a biocompatible medical fibre, the hair implants provokes minimal foreign-body reactions – less than 2%. These can easily be identified and treated before undergoing implant sessions. If needed, the biofibre hairs can also be extracted in a single piece in order for scalp treatments or other forms of hair restorations techniques to be performed. Each hair also has a reversible knot in it, ensuring your safety and allowing for removal that leaves behind no scars if required.

It causes very little discomfort, and is also able to withstand mechanical, chemical and physical stress. In fact, many patients report feeling very satisfied with the treatment procedure and overall results. You may experience minor inflammations but this is easily treated, and your doctor will also provide advice about potential minor, negligible reactions to biofibre hair implants.
