Mesotherapy – Pores
WHAT CAUSES PORES?
Large pores are a common occurrence and problem for people with oily skin, with the skin swelling up. This is most likely down to a build-up of sebum and dirt which can clog the pores. Furthermore, natural aging will cause your skin to lose elasticity slowly, meaning it can no longer snap back into place, beginning to sag. This then stretches out the pores and enlarges them in the process. Another cause of this is overexposure to the sun, as your skin will increase the production of additional skin cells to protect itself from the UV rays. These will grow on the pores’ edges, stretching it out and making it thicker.
HOW IT WORKS
Mesotherapy involves a combination of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and medical grade pharmaceuticals being administered to the top and middle layers of skin. Microscopic quantities of a specialised solution will be injected into pre-determined target area, with the combination of nutrients acting as a trigger for the healing process.
Microchannels will also be created in your skin, boosting the production of collage and elastin, which are two essential building blocks that help to reconstruct and hold your skin together. During the procedure, you might experience some discomfort and a topical anaesthetic will be made available if required.
Mesotherapy is a highly effective, non-surgical treatment which is both safe and progressive. It can also treat a variety of skin conditions, which other forms of treatments and products (such as creams) simply cannot match. This is because the solution injected into the skin is specially customised depending on what you need, ensuring the problems are taken care of.
POST-TREATMENT
Only a very little amount of downtime, or none at all, is required for mesotherapy, but you may experience some mild skin redness after the procedure. This should subside within 24 hours, and depending on the condition of the large pores on your skin, results may be noticeable in as little as 2 days. However, this may vary.
Despite being fairly long-lasting, regular session are highly recommended to maintain your appearance as the effects of natural aging can never fully be countered. Do check with your doctor to determine what is best suited for your specific condition, as well as a recommended treatment cycle.
