Carbon Laser Peel for Pores
WHAT CAUSES PORES?
Individuals with oily skin are prone to suffering from large pores, which develop and form due to sebum and dirt building up underneath the skin. This blocks the follicles, which are passageways to get rid of dead skin cells. It also causes skin to swell up, which stretches out the pores at the same time, making them appear larger.
Aging skin is another cause of large pores, as it sags and does not snap back into place which also stretches out the pores. Overexposure to the sun can also cause this, as additional skin cells are generated which thickens and stretches out the skin around the pores.
HOW IT WORKS
Carbon laser peel is a relatively recent laser resurfacing technique, which utilises laser beams to treat various skin blemishes. It helps to enhance your skin’s radiance, as well as promoting skin smoothness and revitalisation.
A thin carbon layer will cover your face, followed by a laser beam being aimed at the selected treatment area, and you will hear a clicking sound. The carbon particles absorb the laser beam due to its dark shade, and will be removed using a light vacuum which also removes the top layers of skin which is damaged.
Thermal energy will be generated within your skin, causing it to produce fresh collagen and a new, healthy layer of skin will also be revealed. As a result, connective tissue will start to grow at a significantly higher rate, with carbon particles exfoliating the skin and purifying pores completely.
You will only experience a minor sensation that feels like pins and needles, with the procedure causing no pain or discomfort. Non-invasive and highly versatile, the laser can treat difficult areas such as the nose.
POST-TREATMENT
No downtime is needed at all, and you can return to your regular schedule immediately after your treatment. You should notice results after the first session, making this a very popular option out of all the treatments available.
The number of sessions required may vary depending on your skin condition. This treatment may also be combined with other procedures or products to increase its effectiveness. You will receive advice and guidance from our doctors, who will help determine the best course of action for optimal results.
