Have you heard of keloid? It’s quite common in Malaysians especially over the BCG injection site.
Keloid is an overgrowth of a scar. It is a tough heaped-up scar that rises quite abruptly above the rest of the skin. It usually has a smooth top and a pink or purple color. Keloids are irregularly shaped and tend to enlarge progressively.
Not everyone who gets a scar will develop a keloid. If you have keloid-prone skin, however, anything that can cause a scar may lead to a keloid.
Premier Clinic combines Vascular Laser with Intralesional Keloid Injection to effectively treat keloid scar. This combination treatment can flatten keloids in several sessions. Usually one treatment every 4 weeks will give good results. The treatment can be continued until the keloid is flat.
