You can see the difference, this is the hand – my baby hand that is fully injected and the other one is the ugly hand.
This treated hand is almost wrinkle free and no fine lines. It looks very smooth and has a lot of volume. And this is the one that is untreated yet. As we can see it looks very ugly and so much of “empty space”. (No volume between the skeleton)
After this I am going to show you the procedure for the right hand and then I will show you the results of both hands.
Finally, the derma veil procedure is done. As you can see my both hands, it’s very very smooth like a baby. This is the immediate results of derma veil. You will see a bit of redness in earlier over to the left hand, and it subsided already that it took 5 to 10 minutes.
The right hand is the one I just done it. There is a bit of redness and you do not have to worry as nothing will happen. I love the result so much and hope to get more derma veil and can’t wait for the results.

Hello everyone, I am Dr. Nigel from Premier Clinic. Today I am going to discuss about the Derma Veil. It is an American product; made in USA, so it is a safe product.
It is a cutaneous bio-stimulant, and what do you mean by that? It means it contains the active ingredient, the whitish ingredient – the polymer that known as PLA and PILA – polylactic acid. It meant to stimulate your skin cell to produce more collagenous layer.
When you skin cell has stimulant just like all these active materials injected into our skin cell, it will create some pressure around all these cell tissues. When there’s some stimulant going on, this is how it will stimulate more collagen production. So, this is known as cutaneous bio-stimulant.
What is so great about this derma veil and what are the indications? Indications are for those patients who have lost their elasticity. They are comparatively having more sagginess, not so elastic anymore. And of course, for those patients who due to aging process, the fat pads started to degrade and sunken. So, the derma veil will help you to regenerate those collagen that you have lost that due to aging process.
How is the procedure being done? How long it takes?
It is a very fast procedure, around 30 minutes can be settled. First, we numb our patient, I will give some nerve block, to numb the face, so that patient will feel minimal pain or discomfort.
How it’s done is after the nerve block, your whole face will numb, you do not feel too much of pain, you will feel some canular spreading, those material, around your whole face. I will then deliver the derma veil into your whole face.
It is important the derma veil must go very deep into the derma layer. If you put it on superficial, patient will feel the lumpiness. The preparation is not difficult at all, you see some space there. This space is for me to put in some water injections to dilute these PLA. After diluted, I have to shake it well and evenly to divided into few syringes to spread around your whole face.
Minimal downtime as I did for a lady yesterday, she has no down time at all. The common ones are at the injection point, you might have some bruising. The whole procedure is very comfortable. After the treatment, you will feel a bit bloated (swealing). But it will subside after a few days when the water being removed from your face or absorbed into your lymphatic system. Those remaining are those particles that are PLA. The remaining ones will stay at your derma layer. It may start to work and create collagen.
What are the post procedure? Things that you need to pay attention to are rule of three. I will advice my patient to massage their face for 3 days, 3 times per day and 3 minutes each time at each area. You massage your whole face (clockwise and anti-clockwise). When I delivered the derma veil into your deep derma layer, you might have more in one part and lesser in another part, the function is to spread evenly. That is how you can get an even collagenated face.
Some of my patient also asked the common questions: how long this can last and how many sessions. There are some studies mentioned that it depends on your elasticity of your skin. So, for young patients, 2 sessions are good enough; moderate will be 3 to 4 sessions and severe ones will need around six sessions. How you do it is by monthly where you have session today and you have another one in the next month. The longevity depends on how you take care. You have the elasticity and firm skin, by aging process, of course it will deteriorate but it will take a longer time. It also depends on your lifestyle.
Some patients will also ask: can I put thread or combine with filler? Can I do botox? It is not advisable to put filler and botox on your face after treatment. I will advise you to come back after a few days or a few weeks to fill up with fillers or botox. If you combined with thread is useful as well since it gives you an immediate lift. Derma Veil will take some time to months to start to produce your own collagen layer.So, the thread gives you’re an immediate lift and by after 2 to 3 months, it will start to deteriorate. That is where the derma veil or your own collagen start to kick in to give you the firmness and lifting effect. To combine with thread, it is a good option.
