As mentioned last week, there are plenty of folks who find themselves to be too thin and are looking to gain weight. Let me list out some foods that can help you with this.
Nuts
There are few better ways to gain weight than by snacking, and nuts provide a way for you to do that healthily. These contain plenty of fibre, along with other nutrients and fats, and you don’t have to eat a ton of nuts to be full for hours at a time. Macadamia nuts are known for their high fat content, while almonds are also great. You can add nuts to salads if you plan to incorporate it into a regular diet.

Cheese
One of the most versatile ingredients in the world, it’s little wonder why cheese is extremely popular. Cheese can be part of almost any dish you can think of, and is high in fat, making it a very good choice for gaining weight. It also comes a ton of varieties, giving you plenty of choice and if you don’t like a particular type, you’ll definitely like another. It can also make a great snack on its own and is high in protein.

Potatoes
As a food rich in carbohydrates, you should definitely look at eat more of these when trying to gain weight. Not only are potatoes high in protein, they also contain large amounts of vitamin C and fibre. However, you should eat them with the skin left on as removing it also removes half its protein value! Baby potatoes and sweet potatoes also do the trick, and can be used to vary up your potato intake.

Whole Wheat Breads
High in fibre and minerals not found in regular white breads, these can help you stay full for longer which helps keep your energy levels high as well. White bread is refined so much that all the nutrients are stripped away, and we don’t want that now do we? You can eat bread during any meal of the day, or even in between as a snack.

Avocado
A popular health food, it can also be used to gain weight! They contain plenty of healthy fats and are also high in vitamin E, potassium and more. Much like cheese, avocado is also a versatile food and can be enjoyed with a salad, on meats, or even as a spread for breads. You can mash it into eggs to create a lovely egg spread for sandwiches, or even deep fry them to create silky, buttery chips – perfect for snacking on!
