Acne – How You Can Treat Stubborn Pimples – Part 2
Hi everyone, it’s a lovely Sunday and hopefully the weekend has been kind to you so far. Do be sure to utilise your Sunday to the fullest before embracing the new week to come.
Today’s topic will tackle additional treatments to help you reduce or get rid of stubborn acne. I have already highlighted several methods you can try earlier this week. You can read the original post by clicking here.
Without a doubt, acne is one of the most common skin problems that affects people everywhere, no matter what place they hold in society. With that in mind, let me take a look at further methods you can try to combat this problem.
Fractional CO2 Laser
The effects of this treatment is similar to deep chemical peels or laser resurfacing; the key difference is that it is not painful nor is there any downtime, which should appeal to busy individuals. Micro beams are used to penetrate your skin tissue, breaking it down in the process. As your skin heals naturally, the new tissue will come up to the surface and will be of a lighter tone and smoother texture. Treatments tend to be space 1-4 weeks apart depending on your skin condition, and results can be maintained by following a regular skincare routine.

LED Light Photomodulation Therapy
This method is a great way to simultaneously get rid of acne as well as to give your skin a more youthful and vibrant appearance. It helps to trigger cellular functions which are key to speed up the natural healing process of your body, which revitalises your skin. The wavelength is set accordingly to be able to penetrate at the correct depth to treat the appropriate area. It is a safe procedure which does not cause harm to your skin, but increases the production of collagen which in turn speeds up the healing process. As new skin cells grow to replace the old ones, naturally the acne and scars on the old layer of skin will also be replaced with healthy skin cells. This technology has also been utilised by NASA and the NAVY Seals for muscle regeneration, so you can be sure that it is safe and effective!

Microdermabrasion
One of our newer treatments, microdermabrasion is more effective than other invasive methods and also tends to be more affordable than those as well. It makes use of tiny crystal grains which help to exfoliate the skin, removing the top layer which is old and riddled with various blemishes. This also eliminates dead skin cells on the surface. The method is not painful and you will only experience a mild sensation which is similar to a light sunburn – this is the fresh layer of skin being exposed to the surface after the exfoliation. Studies have also lent support to the notion that regular sessions of microdermabrasion may even condition your skin to grow new skin cells at a quicker pace. This brings new skin cells to the surface quicker than usual, and may even result in an eventual decrease in deeper skin blemishes!
